I've been volunteering "behind the scenes" with LRDR since the Spring of 2022. I share my home with my husband, Jim, kids & 3 Lagotto girls pictured: Era, Divot & Wanda. Training and competing with our Lagotto dogs has been a family affair for 9+ years. We all love this curly breed and want to help preserve and protect the Lagotto Romagnolo, helping wherever we are needed. I love competing in dog sports and conformation with my dogs. I was previously a 4-H Dog Project Leader where I taught 4-H kids how to train and show. I continue to volunteer with local and National AKC Junior programs encouraging kids to do more with their dogs. Amy Dickey - AZ
Erika joined Rescue early in 2023 and serves as a Media and Marketing volunteer. She is passionate about animals and believes that every dog deserves a loving forever home. She is particularly drawn to Lagotti because of their loving, curious, and intelligent personalities. Erika and her husband Bruce live on Bainbridge Island, WA and enjoy cooking, entertaining, traveling and adventuring outdoors with their three beloved “Italians,” Sophie (a wonderful Spinone), Ciacco and Boozie.
Liz Reese is utilizing her excellent organizing skills and prior experience as a Physician Assistant to be our President. She and her husband, Jim, fell in love with the Lagotto Romagnolo when Liz discovered the breed shortly after retiring from the Army in 2009. In July of 2013, Marco came into their life, and they have been smitten ever since. Marco loves sushi and the Arizona desert. He is active in Barn Hunting, Trick Training, posing for photographs, rolling in coyote carcasses, enrichment toys, spelunking, camping and traveling.
